Warranty Details
The Dynamic Computer Systems (DCS) warranty protects customers who purchase DCS Custom Configured PC workstations and servers against defects in materials or workmanship for the duration of the warranty. Though we strive to build the most reliable made-to-order computer possible, we understand that there occasionally may be operational issues or they may need repair. Here are the details of the DCS Warranty:
Technical Support
Every purchase of a DCS Custom PC workstation and server includes free lifetime labor and remote hardware support. Our remote technical support is intended to cover hardware issues for the serviceable life of the system. We are unable to support hardware or hardware changes to the system not performed by DCS.
Parts
Unless noted at the time of purchase, every DCS Custom PC workstation and server includes a 3-year parts warranty. If a failed or defective component is reported during the term of your parts warranty, DCS will repair or replace the defective part with a new or reconditioned part of equivalent or better performance. Warranty service for all peripherals (for example, monitors, speakers and other external equipment) is provided by the manufacturer of that equipment. Customers must contact the manufacturer directly.
Shipping
It is the responsibility of the customer to pay all shipping costs associated with purchase, repair or replacement of systems or system components.
Refunds, Returns, and Order Changes
DCS bills all orders at the time the order is placed. After your order has been placed, there is a $50 charge for any change made to order already in progress. All cancelled and returned orders already in progress are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. If we have already shipped your order, all returned hardware must be undamaged and in as-new condition, in original packaging. The following are not eligible for return or refund:
- Opened or activated software (including Windows licenses)
- Shipping costs of any kind
- Special order items, services, and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers or other external equipment.
Transfer of Warranty
When a DCS Custom PC workstation or server is resold, the original owner must contact the DCS Customer Service Dept. to inform us that the system no longer belongs to them and provide DCS with the contact information of the new owner.
Limitation of Liability
DCS is not responsible for damages or costs that are the result of accidents, misuse, disaster, or abuse of the system. DCS is not responsible for damage caused by improper packing. Modifications, overclocking, BIOS or firmware updates, or repairs made to DCS computer system by anyone other than DCS will void the warranty if not cleared through DCS prior to the changes. Third-party components added to the system that damage DCS system supplied components will additionally void the warranty. Most modifications will be approved. However, DCS requires this aspect of control in order to prevent any unnecessary damage. DCS is not responsible for any losses or complications that arise as a result of a system failure or a delay in the production or repair of your system. DCS shall not be held liable for any loss of data that may occur as a result of using or servicing our computer systems. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that all important data is backed up before any service is performed. Our warranty does not cover data loss, nor do we accept any liability for damages or losses, including incidental or consequential damages, arising from the loss of data, software, or files.
